IOE Entrance Test Exam and Exam Pattern with Papers and Solutions

IOE is going to conduct the IOE Entrance Exam for admission into the undergraduate (BE, B.Arch) and postgraduate (M.Sc) courses. IOE Undergraduate programs are available on all of its constituent campuses and the affiliated colleges while the master’s programs are available only at its constituent campuses:

  • Pulchowk Campus,
  • Thapathali Campus,
  • and Pashchimanchal Campus.

The candidate willing to appear in the IOE Entrance Exam to get enrollment into the BE, B.Arch, M.Sc. program should fill and submit the online Application Form within the deadline prescribed by the Entrance Exam Board. Application forms will be available on the website: entrance.ioe.edu.np

The online application fee for the entrance exam is Rs 2,000. In order to be eligible for admission, the candidate has to deposit the application fee in Account No. 00915056064 of Siddhartha Bank Limited.

Along with the fee, the candidate should also submit their voucher often by filling applicant’s name and date of birth, Voucher No. indicated in the voucher needs to be specified in the online application form.

The applicant can also deposit this amount using Siddhartha BankSmart or e-Sewa/ConnectIPS/Khalti. The Voucher No./ Transaction ID No. must be entered in the online form.

During the application submission process, candidates must verify their appropriate entrance stream.

In addition, they should fill up the other required fields in the form without skipping any steps. Candidates also required their colour photograph of the prescribed specification and one of the following identification documents.

IOE Exam Pattern

The IOE Entrance Exam is a multiple-choice question answer, each question has four options, and candidates have to select one choice for the answer.

For any incorrect answers, a 10% score will be deducted as negative answers. The Candidates have to secure minimum marks as prescribed by the Faculty Board of IOE. All questions will be in English

B.E./B.Arch. Entrance Examination consists of four subjects: English, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics with Full Marks: 20, 25, 45 and 50 respectively.

Each year Institute of Engineering of Tribhuvan University publishes an entrance examination Booklet. This Booklet contains all the required information for an interested candidate to appear in the IOE Entrance Exam and finally get admission to any of the constituent or affiliated colleges.

This book also contains the current intake capacity of each of the colleges. Fee structure and scholarship schemes of constituent colleges.

All students in Nepal, willing to get admission into Engineering courses (UG and PG) under any of Tribhuvan University’s affiliated colleges then students have to appear in the IOE Entrance Exam conducted once a year. Only successful students who pass the entrance examination shall be eligible for admission.

All candidates must note that the admission process into Engineering courses (UG and PG) practised by the constituent colleges is the same, but the process followed by the affiliated colleges may differ from one another.

Applicant must mention one of the documents as an identification certificate from Citizenship certificate, Passport, or admit card of the last examination. This document has to be presented for receiving the admit card for the entrance examination.

After submission, the applicant will get a confirmation page. Print this page and keep it with you.

This page is mandatory to receive your admit card. If you are unable to print out the confirmation page after submission of your form, you can print it any time by entering your name and date of birth on the verification page.

Note:
Applicants should bring the admit card and the mentioned original identification document with him/her during the entrance examination. Without an original ID document and colour-printed admit card, the applicant will not be allowed to appear in the entrance examination.
