Quota In Pulchowk Campus IOE: Pulchowk Campus is one of the constituent colleges of IOE and is the central campus. You can see the intakes here: Seats in Pulchowk Campus. Among these seats, some are for quota students and are categorized as follows.

Female Quota in IOE

For female engineering students who passed the IOE entrance exam and want to pursue a career in the below engineering programs, IOE has reserved 10% seats for them. 10% of the above-allocated seats are reserved for Female Students for both in full fee and regular category.

Teacher/Staffs Quota in IOE

For permanent and retired teachers and staff of IOE, IOE has reserved 2 seats for their children. Based on their ranks they secured, they are admitted.

Samabesi/Bipanna/Reserved Quota in IOE

For the students falling in this community, IOE has allocated 20% of the total seats in the regular category. COnverting this 20% to 100%, 20% is reserved for students that belong to

  • Bipanna female (includes 3% Dalit  and 2% Muslim females)
  • Indigenous Community (Aadibasi/Janjaati) (16% is reserved)
  • Madhesi -14% is reserved( includes 3% Madhesi Dalit Female)
  • Dalit(9% is reserved)
  • Handicapped(Apanga) (9% is reserved)
  • Backward/Rural area(7% is reserved)
  • Muslim Community(7% is reserved)
  • Tharu Community(10% is reserved)
  • and 8% for others.

Bipanna category represents students having yearly family income Rs. 50,000 or less.

IOE Sponsored Quota

If the students have passed their secondary education and SEE board from governmental institutions and have got NEB scholarship from government or any kind of sponsored scholarship in plus two or any governmental organizations have recommended you and want to pay your full fee, then  IOE has allocated 1 sponsored seat in every 12 students.

IOE Foreign quota

The foreign students who passed their SEE and further study from Nepal have to give the same entrance exam as other students. The students of SAARC countries and others have to give exams as directed IOE Entrance Examination Board. For the foreign students and students with foreign citizenship, wanting to pursue an engineering career in Pulchowk Campus, IOE has allocated 1 foreign seat for every 12 students. The seats are allocated only for full-fee students and the fee structure is different than other students.

If the reserved seats for the quota students remain unallocated, then the empty seats will be made available to the students from the open category.
