Scholarship in Pulchowk Engineering College 2021:
To get a scholarship to Pulchowk Engineering College, you have to secure a good rank in the entrance examination. Institute of Engineering (IOE) conducts T.U. Bachelor level B.E / B. Arch entrance examination each academic year. The candidates who secure the required pass marks can get enrolled in the IOE constituent and affiliated colleges.
The regular seats comprise students having good ranks and also includes some students from the quota category.

The candidates who pass the B.E. / B.Arch. Entrance Examination is eligible for the Higher Education Scholarships provided by the Ministry of Education if they fulfil the legal criteria prescribed by the Ministry of Education. Pulchowk Campus- Pulchowk, Western Campus -Pokhara, Eastern Campus -Dharan, Thapathali Campus – Thapathali and Chitwan Engineering Campus- Rampur have the following two types of tuition fees:
1) Regular and 2) Full fee.
Students who receive the so-called regular tuition fee will pay the minimum tuition fee and the remaining applicants will have to pay the tuition fee under the full fee program.

Scholarship in Pulchowk Engineering College After Admission
There is also a scholarship provision in Pulchowk College after you get enrolled in any of the affiliated and constituent colleges of IOE under TU. This means that you can grab more scholarship opportunities during your four years study tenure.
1.Scholarship Provided by the Pulchowk College
As mentioned in the information and guidelines of IOE undergraduate students are awarded different scholarships and medals as below.
- 25% of the regular students will be awarded a scholarship in each program based on their results in the semester exams.
- 20% of the regular students of each program will receive a free stipend equal to the tuition fee for the regular program.
- 15% of the regular students of each program will receive a scholarship from the full fee category scholarship.
- 10% of the regular student number of each program will be given from the full fee category.
- 25% of the full fee students of each program will receive a scholarship from the full fee category scholarship.
Scholarships of the above-mentioned points will be awarded on the basis of the score of the previous semester examination. In the case of the first semester of the first-year students, the score of the entrance examination will be taken as the basis.
All the above-mentioned scholarships will not be given to the students who fail the semi-annual examination. The scholarships and free study facilities will be provided on the recommendation of the Scholarship Committee.
There is an arrangement to award a gold medal from the department to the student who gets the best marks in the graduate-level mechanical engineering program of Pulchowk Campus.
The deserving student will be awarded the scholarship and they will get a discount on their fees. If the student has already paid the fee, they will be awarded the money back.
2. Mahatma Gandhi Scholarship
For each batch of students, the Embassy of India, Kathmandu calls students for online application for Mahatma Gandhi Golden Jubilee Scholarship. The amount of scholarship for the engineering program is Rs. 4000 per month for each academic year. The scholarship will be discontinued if the awardee fails successively in two semesters or discontinues study or any other valid reason.
The students fulfilling the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship:
- Applicant should be a regular student enrolled in 1stYear/1stSemester of undergraduate courses in any recognized educational institute in Nepal.
- Proof of student studying in graduation/degree course attested by Principal/Head of Institution to be uploaded.
- Applicant should have secured at least 70% aggregate marks at the Intermediate (+2) level/Class 12th and mark sheet to be uploaded.
- The applicant should be a citizen of Nepal. Citizenship certificate of self or parents to be uploaded.
- Physically challenged candidate should upload proof from CDO/LDO/Municipality Head.
- The family income of the applicant must be less than NRs.2,00,000/- per annum and income proof should be provided by CDO/LDO/Municipality Head and to be uploaded.
- Age Limit: Applicant should be between 17 to 22 years of age as on date of application
- Those who are receiving a scholarship from any other source are not eligible to apply.
- Only class XII marks are required to be uploaded.
3. Ncell Scholarship Program
In 2018, Ncell, a mobile service provider signed an agreement with IOE Pulchowk. Ncell will provide RS.13M money to Pulchowk Campus so that top-scoring students get scholarships and excellence awards for five years from 2019 to 2023.
According to this agreement, 90 students will be awarded scholarships and 30 students will be honoured with the excellence awards based on their results.
The results will be academic i.e. aggregate of both semester results is considered. All students of different faculties of Pulchowk Engineering College get the scholarships separately.
The students are provided scholarship in Ist, IInd and IIIrd years so that they can pursue the study of the following IInd, IIIrd and IVth years.
The top students in each engineering program are awarded. Also, female toppers are awarded the scholarship separately along with total topper among male and female students.
After graduation, Ncell provides Ncell Excellence Award considering the total percentage of students of all four years. It is also provided to the female topper separately. Rs. 100,000 is the cash prize for the Ncell award.
